SERENATA MEXICANA
Since the very first serenade of Rolando to Mozart, I have attended all. The times and places in Salzburg have changed.
What has remained constant: the magically beautiful voice!
This time, Rolando chose Mozart's birthday place, the Universitat Platz. As usual, a large crowd waited for him. In a very great mood and with wide smiles, Rolando appeared in a window and sat down on the windowsill.
The program started with the music played by the 'Mariachis Negros' from Vienna and the members of the Iberacademy. They also played between Rolando's songs
Rolando started with 'Las mananitas". For me, this song is perhaps the most intertwined with him. And the way the uniquely fantastic voice performs it is always a marvel giving goosebumps. Rolando sang other big favorites of mine, "Cielito lindo" y "Despierta".

He bid farewell with cheers and four joyful shouts of "Viva, Mozart", accompanied by the shouts of his extremely enthusiastic audience:
Although this fabulous vocal program took place in the afternoon, it was a wonderful "start" to the day which also brought the second "The Magic Flute" performance.
