I am a dutch Villazonista/Villazoniker and I would like to introduce you to one of my paintings that I have made with the help of some of the wonderful pictures that regularly are to be seen in this excellent Blog! I am also a member of the german-based internet-forum "Anonyme Villazoniker".
I studied on the academie of Art in Holland and I love to make portraits of family members, friends etc. Most of all I like to draw the faces" life" (not with foto's, but sometimes this is not possible).
As a great admirer of Rolando as an artist and human being, it is a great pleasure to study his face, the way he is acting, expressing his feelings with his face and body and finally to try and capture his being, his charme and charisma on canvas.
I am planning to portray Rolando in his many different operatic characters, starting with "Il Re Allessandro"....
