ROLANDO. THE ARTIST WHO MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
A lady from the organizers said some words about Rolando's appearances at the Festival.
After the opening music, Overture to "Il re pastore", Rolando entered onto stage. The audience greeted him with an extremely long and warm applause.
Even after 16 years and hundreds and hundreds of concerts, I feel the same way. I still can't get used to the magic of the moment when Rolando starts singing.
Idomeneo, Titus, Lucio Silla, Il re pastore, The Magic Flute, concert arias ...
These virtuoso arias allow Rolando to show not only all his extremely fantastic singing skills, but also his unique stage presence making these music pieces even more energetic.
The audience simply adored Rolando. Their reactions were profoundly enthusiastic and touching at the same time.
They celebrated the most beautiful of all voices with standing ovations, "bravo"-s and stormy applause.
As encores, Rolando offered "Va dal furor portata", the Pamina-Papageno duet and "Con ossequio, con rispetto".
Rolando's unlimited energy mesmerized the audience.
A heartwarming detail : at breakfast in the hotel, people at the table next to us were talking about Rolando and his magnificent concert.
