The second evening with Rolando's Idomenee
The element continuously present in every single moment of Rolando's stage presence is the unique beauty of THE VOICE. It is brilliant and shines with elemental power.
Rolando's ability to make each note memorable is unmatched. His convincing acting and his emotional authenticity are unsurpassed and they allow the public to immerse completely in the experience.
The "recitativo secco" of Idomeneo brought extraordinary moments with the mesmerizing duo of the voice and the harpsichord. And Rolando's unbelievable ease to sing Mozart's richest ornamentations is breathtaking. Other especially great moments of the evening!
Among the female singers, for me the pure voice of Hanna-Elisabeth Müller was particularly effective.
A very strong point of this staging is the fabulous, unusual choreography with its very exciting movements. The dancers performed them with unlimited dynamism.
Choir, orchestra and conductor added their very best to this fabulous performance.
An evening which deeply touches the heart!
