¡ MENSAJE DE ROLANDO !

Dear friends,

This is just a quick note to tell you how touched I am by the many beautiful messages I have received from you over the past weeks. Every message, every postcard, every book you have sent me is like a flower. My garden is full of colors and I am the little colibri drinking from all of them. Thank you!

Some of you have expressed worries about my recent withdrawal from the "Carmen" -production in Vienna. Don't be concerned! I have not yet had the operation (it will take place in these days), but I decided I want to be careful with my repertoire in the next year.

I have spent this time playing with my kids and taking walks with my wife, joggling, reading Darwin's fabulous "The Origin of Species", joggling, listening to all of Brahms and going to the theater, joggling, dreaming, writing a little fiction and joggling!.

I wish you all the very best for a wonderful summer and promise to be in touch again soon!

Esto es sólo una pequeña nota para decirles cómo estoy conmovido por los muchos mensajes hermosos que he recibido de ustedes durante las últimas semanas. Cada mensaje, cada postal, cada libro que me han enviado es como una flor. Mi jardín está lleno de colores y yo soy el pequeño colibri que bebe de todos ellos. Gracias!

Algunos de ustedes han expresado preocupaciones acerca de mi reciente retirada de la "Carmen" de producción en Viena. No se preocupen! Todavía no me han operado (se hará en estos próximos días), pero he decidido que quiero ser cuidadoso con mi repertorio para el próximo año.

He pasado este tiempo jugando con mis hijos y dando paseos con mi esposa, "joggling", la lectura del fabuloso libro de Darwin "El Origen de las Especies", "joggling", escuchando a todo Brahms y yendo al teatro, "joggling", soñando, escribiendo un poco de ficción y "joggling"!.

Questa è solo una breve nota per dirvi quanto sia rimasto commosso dai tanti bei messaggi che ho ricevuto da voi nelle ultime settimane. Ogni messaggio, ogni cartolina, ogni libro che mi avete inviato è come un fiore. Il mio giardino è pieno di colori e io sono come il piccolo colibrì che beve da tutti loro. Grazie!

Alcuni di voi hanno espresso preoccupazione per il mio recente ritiro dalla "Carmen"-produzione con sede a Vienna. Non preoccupatevi! Non mi sono ancora sottoposto all'operazione (che si svolgerà in questi giorni), ma ho deciso che voglio essere cauto con il mio repertorio per il prossimo anno.

Manche von euch haben ihre Beunruhigung über meinen kürzlichen Rückzug aus der Wiener „Carmen“-Produktion geäußert. Macht euch keine Sorgen! Ich wurde noch nicht operiert20(das wird in diesen Tagen geschehen), habe mich aber entschieden, im nächsten Jahr vorsichtig mit meinem Repertoire zu sein.

Ich habe diese Zeit damit verbracht, mit meinen Kindern zu spielen und mit meiner Frau spazieren zu gehen, mit Joggling, habe Darwins sagenhaftes „Die Entstehung der Arten“ gelesen, gejoggelt, alles von Brahms gehört und bin ins Theater gegangen, habe gejoggelt, geträumt, eine kleine Geschichte geschrieben und gejoggelt!
