  "I AM FROM SALZBURG"

AN EXTRAORDINARY MUSICAL EVENING

in the series of "Sofa Konzert"

Rolando had an amazing choice, inviting phenomenal young artists, composers and performers at the same time, and already great in their own artistic fields, with exceptional creative and performing powers! They all played their own works.

All percussion instruments being my favorites, the evening brought me wonderful moments! It was a joy to hear the "use" of all possibilities offered by these fantastic instruments.

Enchanted always by every pianissimo, I listened, deeply bewitched, to the marimbaphon playing of Jakob Mancinelli. Beyond the incredible virtuosity, his pianissimi on this instrument were absolutely supreme and really breathtaking! 

Watching the piano playing of Karim Zech, I felt like I witnessed magic! Eyes were unable to follow his hands! And this unbelievable "speed" was combined with excellent quality! 

Loved the piano pieces for four hands composed by Karim Zech and performed by him and Johann Zhao. Musicality, wonderful melody, absolutely virtuoso performing!

The unique female artist was Cosima Schmid, who, with her nice voice, sang and also played on the piano her compositions filled with jazz elements. As a surprise, she accompanied his brother, Darius Schmid, violinist. Rolando mentioned that one of his sons has the same name, in this version : Dario.     

I was captivated by Rolando's questions. They showed genuine interest,.were exciting and unusual, allowing the artists to give riveting presentations of their life, careers, plans and ambitions.

Rolando is always the guarantee of a fantastically good and warm atmosphere, considering friends both the artists and the audience.

With the connoisseur audience appreciating performers and musical pieces, the success was huge and noisy! 

(Going to the concert, I heard two young people talking about how to pronounce the name "Villazón" correctly. Yes, this is Salzburg ..
