MOZART WEEK 26 SALZBURG
LE CONCERT DES NATIONS - 26 1 26
A FANTASTIC DELIGHTFUL TREAT! AN ABSOLUTE MUSICAL LUXURY!
"Some" Don Giovanni yesterday and "some" Don Giovanni tonight!
Performed by two of the most magnificents orchestras : Yesterday by the Cappella Andrea Barca, tonight by the Concert des Nations. Under two immense conductors : András Schiff anf Jordi Savall.
An unbelievable experience.. A GIFT OF LIFE!!!!
No words needed.
Program of the concert :Mozart :
Serenade in D major ("Serenata notturna")Gluck . Semiramis Mozart : Overture from the "Abduction from the Seraglio"Gluck : Ballet "Don Juan or the Feast of Stone'' Mozart : Overture from"Don Giovanni"And a little more Mozart as an encore.
These pieces by Gluck are especially precious, Jordi Savall and his wonderfully great orchestra performed them in a distinctive manner.
I always love to watch the members of the orchestra play. This evening, my attention was particularly drawn by the phenomenal drummer, the two hornists and, generally, by the wind section.
Jordi Savall and his Concert des Nations with its period instruments brought profound beauty, their music having evoked deep emotions.
Another exquisite choice by Rolando to offer an extraordinary evening.
KÖSZÖNÖM, ROLANDO!

MOZART WEEK 26 SALZBURG
Cappella Andrea Barca - 25 1 26
ETHEREAL MOZART AND AN ARTIST WHO IS THE PIANO ITSELF
Mozart : Piano Concerto in A major
Haydn : Symphony in F-sharp minor ("Farewell Symphony")
Overture from "Don Giovanni"
Piano concerto in D minor
These two piano concertos are my big favorites, I have heard them countless times since my childhood, and have a number of recordings with the greatest pianists.
But to hear them live always offers a very intense, very intimate experience. And with one of the greatest performers ... A deeply special experience.
I was profoundly amazed by the way the orchestra played the overture from "Don Giovanni" . It was like thunder, lightning, the most terrifying force of Nature...
The "Farewell Symphony" is always a pleasure to hear, and at this concert its "choreography" was simply magnificent, offering joy and cheerful moments to the grateful audience.
At the end of the musical program, Johannes Honsig-Ehrlenburg, President of the International Mozarteum Foundation and Rolando, as the Artistic Director of the International Mozarteum Foundation greeted and praised the fantastic pianist.
Deeply moved, Rolando addressed warm and beautiful words to the artist :
"Your legendary trajectory is now written forever in CAPITAL LETTERS in the history of this institution, the Mozart Week and Salzburg!".
KÖSZÖNÖM, ROLANDO!
