My third "L'Orfeo"
To enter the Vienna State Opera for a ROLANDO-evening, is always a greatest feeling. In this period, even more - Rolando's voice is everywhere at the Opera, greeting, together with Euridice, the guests arriving at their wedding.
Exceptional moments that bring deep familiarity.
Rolando has the regal talent, the fantastic ability to create the impression of - and provides the strong feeling of - an always different and new show, with all the freshness of his singing and acting, and to offer every time a new "version"of his performance.
The vocal magic starts with Rolando's very first notes : "Rosa del ciel". The singing is heavenly beautiful. This beauty remains constantly present, in each note and each moment, during the whole performance.
Other particular vocal highlights, in a very personal selection, with their especially stellar performance : "Tu sei morta" and, in this very same aria : " ... ed io rimango ...". in the most heart-wrenching tones. "Se fuggi tu, dolcissima speranza", "Possente spirto..." ...
And all the other ones ...
At the stage door, Rolando offered us a special gift with his marvelous spontaneity : he performed a perfect, virtuoso trillo, one from his richest collection.
