VÍDEO: ROLANDO VILLAZÓN CANTA, CON TONY PAPPANO, LA CHANSON DE KLEINZACH, EN LA GALA DE LA ROH 25-07-12

Este es el vÍdeo de la primera de las actuaciones de la Gala Placido Domingo's Operalia Winners, celebrada en la Royal Opera House el pasado 25 de julio: Rolando Villazón, pletórico, canta Il était une fois à la court d'Eisenach, la Chanson de Kleinzach, del Epílogo (o Primer acto, según versión) de Les Contes d'Hoffmann.

 En el minuto 4:10 podéis ver el "debut operístico" (como voz) de Antonio Pappano, interpretando a NATHANAËL

    Yo siempre digo que no soy una entendida en opera ,pero se lo que me gusta y lo que me gusta es Rolando Villazon pues tiene el don de emocionarme siempre,y creo que hace una interpretacion fantastica.Muchas gracias por el video

    What I have always loved about this aria, and especially Rolando's interpretation of it, is that, in the span of five short minutes, you see the impossible complexity of the character of Hoffmann: funny, too intelligent for his own good, charismatic, pathetic, his own worst enemy. Nobody--BUT NOBODY-- does this like Rolando does. NOBODY.

      Tienes toda la razón, Joanna, en algunos otros papeles Rolando tiene "competidores", otros grandes tenores que no se puede negar que también lo cantan muy bien, pero, por más que piense, no hay tenor que pueda abordar la complejidad vital, interpretativa y vocal como Rolando hoy en dia. Nadie llega a la suela del zapato, por ejemplo, del "O dieu de quelle ivresse" que cantó en Munich.

    Thank you Teresa for the post. Apart from loving his voice I love the fact that everytime when he sings in a concert he acts as in the opera and he takes us with him there. I remember an interview when he said that everything he does in addition to opera (concerts, recordings, etc) he does because above all he is an opera singer and all the characters are part of his life not merely pieces of his career. This is so true and it shows. He is a great and wonderful opera singer.

    Rolando is consistently fabulous in this piece-- there's never a time when I don't think, "Wow, Rolando, you ARE Hoffmann!"

    Probablement parce que c'est LE rôle où Rolando peut montrer toutes les facettes de son grand talent d'acteur/chanteur, c'est celui où je le préfère et Dieu sait à quel point il m'est difficile de faire un choix...
    On constate que même lors d'un seul air, comme ici,son implication est totale même en concert...Insurpassable!!!

    Difficile de faire un choix parmi toutes les interprétations de Rolando !!
    Il est extraordinaire partout .
    J'avoue préférer ce que j'entends sur l'instant ,donc cela varie tous les jours :o))))
