ROLANDO VILLAZÓN CANTA "CAMPANA SOBRE CAMPANA"

En la noche del 24 se emitirá en varios países europeos, a través de Servus TV y de la RAI, un Concierto de Navidad desde la Capilla de Oberndorf, con el Theater Kinderchor del Salzburger Festspiele. Rolando Villazón presentará y participará en el concierto, y ha incorporado su villancico favorito, "Campana sobre campana", del que os ofrecemos un adelanto en vídeo.

VIDEOS STARS VON MORGEN 30/11/2014

El padre de Michael Barenboim no es otro que el genial Daniel Barenboim. Eso podría haber sido una carga para el joven violinista. Pero Michael Barenboim se prefiere ver la oportunidad única de iniciar un diálogo musical entre generaciones, ya sea como concertino de la Orquesta West-Eastern Divan fundada por su padre, o como solista. En "Estrellas del Mañana", interpretó un rondó de Mozart.

Después de los estudios en su Georgia natal, la pianista Inga Fiolia descubrió la escuela rusa, garantía infalible piano de éxito pianístico. Ahora vive en Colonia y actúa en todo el mundo.

El barítono Zhengzhong Zhou aprovechó su oportunidad mediante una sustitución en el último momento a Dmitri Hvorostovsky, en la Royal Opera House Covent Garden de Londres, en 2011 . Y sedujo a críticos y al público. Después él inició una relevante carrera en Europa y Asia.

La joven percusionista Ni Fan también es originaria de China. Ella comenzó a tocar la batería a los 10 años y se formó en Pekín y Berlín, donde se graduó con honores. Sin duda, la precisión y virtuosismo han fascinado a Rolando Villazón y el público de Stars von Morgen.

Una vez más, Patrick Lange dirige la orquesta Junge Sinfonie Berlín.

ROLANDO VILLAZÓN, GALA ROTE NASEN VIENA 30/11/14

A long awaited event finally occurred: Rolando Villazón and Dr. Rollo sing - not together but on a same stage!

On the occasion of their 20th anniversary, Red Noses in Vienna organized a colorful and cheerful performance. The event was greeted by the Federal President of Austria.

We had everything for a great evening: Funny clown jokes and other clown humor, humorous scenes, magic tricks, a raffle with valuable prices, beautiful melodies sung by well known artists, among others by Angelika Kirschlager and played by a good orchestra, a huge birthday cake (a red marzipan nose, of course!) and - the stunning, gorgeous voice of Rolando and his captivating stage presence.

He started with an absolutely irresistible "Una Furtiva Lágrima". The voice was warm, sweet, like melted chocolate, with a particularly smooth timbre in the words "furtiva lágrima" and "M'ama! Sì, m'ama, lo vedo". The audience was deeply impressed with the extremely long-held notes that Rolando sang in the final part, "...morir d'amor, d' amor".

After this aria, he shared his thoughts on Red Noses and on their activity, and for congratulating on this 20th anniversary, he sang with soprano Magdalena Anna Hofmann the "Brindisi", accompanied by champagne and humorous moments with the clowns.

At the end of the first part, Rolando cut the huge birthday cake, and all the performers sang "Happy Birthday to you".

In the second part, Rolando conducted the a cappella choir of Red Noses, with great humour and overwhelming facial expressions.

This second part brought the fulfillment of my dream: To hear Rolando sing "The Impossible Dream". This was the greatest surprise of the evening and was not announced in the programme. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the first notes. Rolando sang this song with indredible intensity and glowing, his voice was dazzling, glorious. The powerful performance was followed by tempestuous applause.

After a few minutes, Dr. Rollo came on stage and offered us elements of genial humour. Even in the moment when he "sang" some notes to "try" his voice, no one thought that Rolando would face strong competition from him!!! Dr. Rollo sang "Granada" (another one of my musical dreams), and despite my deepest admiration for the art of Rolando, I must sincerely recognize, with great pain, that the singing, the voice, the intense emotional involvement of Dr. Rollo were on the same artistic and human level as those of Rolando!!! The audience too applauded with the same strength and enthusiasm...

The atmosphere was electric. At the end, Dr. Rollo jumped off the stage to interact with the audience.

We had an extraordinary evening, organized for a great and beautiful cause!

NOVEDADES SOBRE EL TOUR ROH 2015 EN JAPON, CON ROLANDO VILLAZÓN

La amiga Kyoko nos envía una importante información, recientemente publicada, sobre la gira de la ROH en Japon, en setiembre de 2015, en la que Rolando Villazón interpretará Don Ottavio en Don Giovanni.

Kyoko (many thanks!), muy amablemente, nos ha traducido la nueva información, que concreta fechas y precios, del japonés:

The details of the ROH Japan Tour next September. There will be 3 shows of Don Giovanni at the NHK Hall in Tokyo, at 15:00 on 13th, at 18:30 on 17th and at 13:30 on 20th September. Tickets are expensive. Top price is 55,000 yen (370 euros). The cheapest one is 12,000 yen (80 euros) which would be almost difficult to get. The general booking for Don Giovanni starts from 10 am on 28th March.

ROLANDO VILLAZÓN, PUMEZA MATSHIKIZA - OPERA GALA HANNOVER 26/11/14 + PRESENTACIÓN LIBRO EN MUNICH + NAVIDAD EN EL VATICANO

El último de los conciertos de Rolando Villazón y Pumeza Matshikiza tuvo lugar el pasado 26 de noviembre en la ciudad alemana de Hannover. No tengo crónica, pero las críticas y algún mail recibido hablan de un fabuloso concierto, gran triunfo y standing ovation, que, de hecho, ha sido la tónica habitual en la exitosa gira.

Al día siguiente, Rolando estaba en Munich, para la presentación de "Kunststücke" (Malabares), también la última de su gira de presentaciones por ciudades alemanas.
