VIDEO: ROLANDO VILLAZÓN CANTA "DALLA SUA PACE" EN VERBIER

Se ha publicado en el usuario de Youtube de medici.tv un vídeo perteneciente al concierto de Rolando Villazón en el Festival de Verbier, el pasado 4 de agosto.

Se trata de Dalla sua pace (Don Giovanni - Mozart), la segunda que cantó Rolando esa noche, porque, como recordaréis, el aria abría la segunda parte, que se repitió cuando se desató una tormenta repentina en medio de la segunda canción. Los allí presentes comentaron que la segunda vez (la del vídeo) superó aún a la primera, y ciertamente Rolando la interpreta a la perfección, con una belleza, seguridad, suavidad y musicalidad extraordinarias, y sus característicos pianos aterciopelados y envolventes. Creo que si Mozart tuviera que dictaminar si ese es o no es "su estilo", seguro que sorprendería a más de un acérrimo delimitador de esencias mozartianas.

    Après l'entracte la pluie a commencé à tomber et le tonnerre à gronder, difficile de se concentrer pour chanter car sur un abri de toile la résonnance est grande.
    Pourtant Rolando a courageusement attaqué son air, malgré ces mauvaises conditions.
    On peut donc comprendre que le premier air n'était pas parfait.
    20 minutes plus tard, quand le ciel s'est calmé, Rolando a aussi pu retrouver la sérénité pour chanter dans des conditions acceptables.

    Pues sí, Teresita, qué cansado es oír a sus críticos. Que si el estilo mozartiano no es esto, que si esto es un mozarticidio. Para mí, Mozart ha ido creciendo en él, se ha ido integrando a él, como todo lo que canta nuestro extraooordinario Rolando. Y creo que el proceso ha estado ocurriendo ante nuestros ojos desde el concierto del Liceu hasta éste de Verbier. Ningún otro tenor contemporáneo tiene su carisma, su entrega y su capacidad de transmitirnos la inefable belleza de la música.

    Schön gesungen, wunderbares Timbre, vor allem männlich (bei Mozarttenören sehr wichtig) und mit viel Liebe zu Donna Anna im Ausdruck.
    Salzburg soll nächstes Jahr neu "Cosi fan tutte" bringen und es wäre herrlich, würde man als "Ferrando" Rolando Villazon engagieren.

    Une interprétation qui fait honneur à Rolando et à Mozart...
    Ceux qui écrivent que la voix de Rolando ne convient pas à Mozart sont les mêmes que ceux qui écrivaient que l'album Haendel n'était pas réussi....
    S'ils sont libres de s'exprimer (hélàs !dans la presse...) nous sommes libres aussi de le faire via ce blog et d'admirer le travail excellent et toujours en progrès de celui qui l'accomplit, toujours avec cette totale et remarquable implication.

    Querida, Teresa, Gabriela and all villazonistas, I have been so upset with the unfounded criticism. Mozarticidio? I even tried to explain to that gentlemam why he was wrong. But I gave up, because I think it is not worthy. We are talking about some unhappy people who are incapable to enjoy (above all - I guess they are literally unhappy persons) and also incapable to understand that the world is changing and the beauty of art, opera, theatre, is that classic things can/ may/ should be viewd in different perspectives. And it is normal each artist to bring his/ her own ideas, feelings and interpretation. The idea that every piece should be interpretated "as written" is so not possible. The truth is that, in one hand, no one knows 100% what was in an author or composer's mind by the exact time when something was written. On the other hand artists, if they are really good, they will always explore beyound what is written as such. Rolando is, in my view, by far the most complex, gifted, charismatic opera singer ever.And everything he does demonstrates his huge respect and understanding of the composers and his love for his public. Thank God we have the chance to live in same time with him so let' enjoy this great artist! Often, when I watch his performance or when I listen to him I feel the need to say "Gracias, maestro Villazon".

    Esta aria es una de mis favoritas, y sin embargo, ningún cantante había interpretado la pieza como yo la he imaginado: Una tormenta interna dentro de un aristocrata a quien le violaron a la novia y mataron al suegro, incrédulo ante la posibilidad de que fuera uno de sus pares el autor de ambos crímenes, en una época donde el crimen se consideraba costumbre de las clases inferiores. Don Ottavio dá un drástico cambio de acudir a la justicia (no recuerdo la parte exacta de la Opera donde parte a buscar a las autoridades) a buscarla por mano propia en "il Mio Tesoro". Finalmente he encontrado al Don Ottavio con la testosterona suficiente para llenar el espacio en mi imaginación; como dice Renate, Gracias Maestro Villazón.

    Dear AgenteGDL - Every time I was not really sure about your personal opinions to your positive or negative assessment about the musical abilities of Rolando -
    - But now I agree to you to :100% !
    One week ago I told Teresa in an E-Mail :
    Rolando sets new standards and trends in the interpretation. He give no shy and unimpressive men in his roles, which have dread and fear about women or about his rivals. No - he goes in the offensive, and his singing and acting interpretation is very male, spirited, proud and passionate in his "new" opera roles from Mozart.

    It's no overstatement, when Rolando says "Mozart is my friend!" He interpret very successful the spirit and magic of Mozart. And I could imagine that the ingenious composer could have a great delight with Rolando!
